Tscharke Wines

The Tscharke family settled in the Barossa Valley region in the mid-1800s.  Damien Tscharke and his wife Eva established Tscharke’s Place cellar door in September 2011, showcasing Tscharke’s excellent wines and Eva’s handmade pottery.  The introduction of grape varieties, such as Savagnin, Touriga and Montepulciano, add an interesting mix to complement the more traditional varietals of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Mataro.

Tscharke’s dedication and passion have been well recognised recently with Damien being awarded the 2014 Emerging Winemaker of the Year and Tscharke’s Place the 2015 Best Small Cellar Door in the Barossa Valley.
