A dizzying array of opulent dark fruit rises from the glass, accompanied by whisps of woodsy spice, ironstone minerality and hints of oak in the form of mocha and coffee tones. An inky core of ripe red and black berries is enlivened by aromas of nori, hoisin sauce, white pepper and dried sage.

Round and  plush, the palate is a parade of hedgerow fruits with flickers of dark plum and  black cherry. The weight and texture of this wine place it firmly in the luscious compote realm, rather than the denser jam spectrum.

Guided by balanced  acidity and a fine tannin structure, this wine travels gracefully across the palate imparting subtle, savoury oak notes underpinned by anise seed and liquorice root. Expertly integrated and richly flavoured, this Shiraz invites connoisseurs to savour its concentration, depth, and finely-woven complexities.
